"I had no idea where the assignment was taking me" - by far the best line of this entry. Subbing the other day, I explained to a 6th grade Social Studies class that my problem with school has always been that I don't know where the heck it's going. If it's not going anywhere useful, then why the heck should I go there - other than to vacation of course, but that's what Hawaii is for, not school. Anyway, after explaining my problem with school, I told the students I didn't want them to suffer from the same lack of direction. So, for the next five or six minutes, I explained why learning what 'culture' is will help them in the next few years. I said this is where all of this information will be taking you.

Why say all of this? Because I want you to know that I don't agree with just my words, but with my actions.

The summer I lived on Long Island I took ferries to Fire Island and to Martha's Vineyard. The Newsboys' Go album was my montage music. I listened to the music on the ferries and while dancing alone in the streets of the village on Fire Island. It was a totally incredible experience, and I love that CD so much!

Oh my.....I laugh more every time I read back over this and look at the pictures. I'm certainly not laughing AT you, but I am just laughing at the situation. Of course, laughing is an understatement.....more like cramping my sides. I saw the pic in your next post and immediately shot down the page as I wanted the back story first. I am so excited about moving on to the next post I can hardly tell you. I'm typing rather frantically so I can hurry and find out more. My thoughts about the hair colors (just because I enjoy sharing my thoughts with you): The brunette - I agree with you, it does not look bad at all, but it.....it just hardly even looks like you.
